DAN SCALITER

Mr. Daniel Scaliter, founder and president of Scaliter Irrigation Engineering, Inc., (SIE) began his career in irrigation in 1978 in Israel. He received his degree from the Ruppin Agricultural Institute in 1984 and opened his own irrigation consulting office in the U.S. in 1986. Given his education and experience with its emphasis on water conservation, Dan has led SIE to the forefront of the industry, encouraging the use of not only low precipitation sprinklers, but also drip irrigation and the implementation of computerized water management and scheduling, thus reducing costs while saving a precious resource. In addition to being responsible for the conceptualization and design of irrigation systems for urban landscape and agricultural projects, Dan has been published on a variety of irrigation topics including: Irrigation efficiency, pump performance, and irrigation design and computers.
